APSCO joined GACA and took part in the 41st International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly which sought to discuss low emission technology as it pertains to environmental sustainability for the aviation industry. The joint information paper was submitted by APSCO and GACA was accepted and published by ICAO. The document outlined ongoing technological advancements that relate to the aviation fueling sector, which was aligned with The Kingdom’s 2030 vision and goals which seeks to make Saudi Arabia less reliant on conventional fuels and shift towards more sustainable sources of energy.

The study analyzed the positive impacts of implementing eco-friendly alternatives, time and resource investments required, and the correlation between other factors and the reduction of the King Abdulaziz International Airport’s carbon footprint resulting from aviation fueling operations. Aligned with APSCO’s values and involvement in the positive progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this initiative would foster the growth of the aviation industry and promote additional developments centered around sustainable concepts, which in turn would result in boosting social benefits all while supporting collaborative efforts and a united front.
