Mr. Yasser Al Maayouf, VP, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) for Aviation Standards, granted Engineer Azzam Qari, Fuels Director, APSCO, the License of ground handling services operators and providers “GACAR Part 151”. Thus, APSCO became the first Company to acquire this License in the field of supplying aircrafts with fuel in the Kingdom, which is aligned with the latest Aviation international standards, and in-line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision.
The License has been recognized and presented to APSCO during a ceremony organized on this occasion at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jeddah on Thursday 16/08/2018.
Following the handing over of the License, the Vice President of GACA stressed the importance of operational licenses and their efficient role in supporting the aviation sector in the Kingdom and the importance of the Authority in supporting the companies working in this field. APSCO complied with all conditions and necessary requirements to acquire the license of ground handling services operators and providers “GACAR Part 151”, through adopting the standards and the company’s operational systems, making tests for the Department Managers, including the adoption of the following operational manuals:
- Aviation Fuel Quality Control and Operations Manual (AFQCOM)
- Compliance with the rules and systems of aviation security
- Aviation Training Manual (SM) and Aviation Safety Management System Manual (SMSM).
- Aviation Quality Control and Site Operating Procedure Manual (AFQC & SOPM)
He also praised the efforts exerted by the company to achieve efficiency and application of advanced systems to develop its services in the field of supplying aircrafts with fuel in the Kingdom. The company achieved the expected growth through its strategy of sustainable development and growth, and its excellent leadership and national competencies, which allow it to continue to excel in its field, with the support of the General Authority for Civil Aviation.
